Are “beauty procedures” harmful to women’s health?

We women are ready for everything (well, or almost everything) in order to become the most beautiful. Selflessly we attend fitness classes three times a week, all types of massage (after which the body is covered with bruises and abrasions), we do epilation every two weeks so that our legs are smooth and pleasant to the touch … You won’t list everything. Forces, time, large (and sometimes very large) money we give without thinking for the sake of youth and beauty. But that’s not all. It often happens that new-fangled procedures are not only expensive, but also harmful to women’s health. Fatigue of legs, heaviness, aching pain, swelling, night cramps protruding “stars” of veins … Do you know this? Doctors give an example of gloomy statistics: every second woman in the modern world has problems with veins. And, most surprisingly, the cause of venous expansion of the veins can be the most innocuous, at first glance, procedures: hair removal, anti-cellulite massage, excessive physical exertion and even tanning in a solarium. 1. Epilation. As it turned out, this is not such a harmless procedure as it seems at first glance. And it makes no difference what you choose: removing excess vegetation with an epilator, hot wax or wax strips – all this is equally harmful and painful. And, although the advertisement assures us that the new models of epilators will not spoil your legs, doctors say the opposite. Pain and hot wax increase blood flow and can lead to rosacea (in case of rosacea, vessels more and more “shine through” the skin). The leg shaving method is much less harmful. Of course, you have to fight for smooth legs more often, but health is more important, isn’t it? 2. Anti-cellulite massage. Masseurs, guided by the principle of “want to be beautiful – endure”, actively massage the problem areas of our body with strong hands or even special devices. After such a massage, not only unpleasant sensations, but also bruises often appear. To rosacea, which we talked about above, in this case, varicose veins can also be added. After all, bruises after massage on your legs are places of stagnation of venous blood. It may be worth the effort, but keep your legs healthy and beautiful? After all, it is possible to fight cellulite with the help of a healthy diet and properly selected physical exercises. 3. Physical activity. What women are not ready for the sake of a beautiful slim figure. It often happens that you want to build up, and spending money on a professional trainer seems completely unnecessary. However, it is worth remembering your legs and regret them again. With ill-considered excessive physical exertion, intra-abdominal pressure rises, and this can lead to disruption of the venous valves. To prevent this from happening, pick up a competent professional trainer who will help you make a lesson plan and will monitor your personal successes. 4. Tanning in the solarium. Of course, tanned skin is very beautiful and sexy. But … Sometimes you have to pay too high a price for it. After all, a tanning bed can affect veins in the same way as hot wax. High temperatures will increase blood flow, and this can lead to unpleasant consequences. Therefore, mindlessly do not get carried away by the procedures offered by the salons and fitness classes, fanaticism and in achieving perfection is dangerous. Whatever methods you use on the way to beauty, remember that health is always more important.
